 I began working with children when I was still a child. I've spent my life trying to improve the opportunities available to economically disadvantaged youth through education or environmental justice. After college I entered the work force for a few years, had to pay bills, dealt with a ton of bureaucracy, and faced a lot of distress from the day to day horrors the children I worked with experienced.
