I came to law school for a few reasons. Firstly, I enjoy thinking about the origins of law. Laypeople typically respond to a "law" based on their personal sense of "right", but often cannot justify their response beyond that instinctual feeling. I felt that law school would allow me to understand how the law reflects our inner sense of "right" and "wrong". Secondly, I wanted to learn how to argue logically and persuasively, and analyze issues from all perspectives. Finally, even though my career goal is to be an academic, I also don't know how much I'd mind being canned meat, so I would like to give it a try.
