I studied a great deal of political and social theory throughout college. Although I found the classes academically stimulating, they often left me blank as to what practical solutions ought to be explored. In particular, I was unsure of what 'rule of law' really meant, since it was a popular explanation for why certain societies fared better than others. Academically, I would like to know what specific impacts law has upon society and why.

Professionally, I would like to find an area of law that I enjoy, that may benefit the world somehow (or at least not harm it) and in which jobs are available.
