Life in the Cubes

There's nothing that makes you feel less human than a job where you sit in a cubicle all day and watch the minutes slowly tick by. When work comes across your desk, it’s just busy work – putting numbers in spreadsheets, filling out a meaningless report, or fighting by email with a person you will never meet about a few thousand dollars. Thinking, not just thinking about what formula goes into a certain column, but actual thinking, the kind you learned in college, is rarely required. I came to law school because I saw it as the chance to choose a new direction for myself, a new path that would both engage me and give me the tools to make a difference in this world.
