I was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. I moved to the United States in 2006, and somewhere along the road I decided to become a lawyer. Part of it was just my mother constantly telling me she wanted a lawyer in the family, but I'd like to think that mostly it was my love of writing, rhetoric and an absurd fascination with Harry Potter. I realized quite early where my skills lay, and the law seemed to be the best application for them - that and my mom's desire for a lawyer-son.
